The Student Ministry at Redeemer seeks to fulfill the mission statement of the church in the context of students just entering their adolescent years in 6th grade all the way through those graduating seniors figuring out where and how God will use them in pursuing more education, entering the work force or maybe even the mission field! Our hope and goal is that each student would have a deepening relationship with Christ and learn what it means not just to be a disciple, but a disciplemaker as well.
Reach the Hill is our initiative to share and live out the gospel with the students and faculty of Robert T. Hill Middle School across the street from the church. We do this through different opportunities to pray at the school throughout the year (keep an eye on the bulletin announcements), we are also involved with CLAY, which is a leadership principles class that we teach at the school every other Thursday from 8:45-9:25am, and then we have an after school hangout time on Fridays in our Oasis building at the church. This initiative is a location for the Agape Project and Dallas Theological Seminary students, please contact Brooks Nesse for more information or to get involved.
Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
Wednesday Evenings 6:30-8pm
Youth Group is a great regularly occurring event for students to come and see what we’re all about! We hold a rotating schedule that usually goes as follows: first Wednesday has a prayer focus, second is usually big group discussion, third is game night and the fourth is a mystery. The fifth Wednesday that comes once a quarter is usually a special event. We’d love to see you there!
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18
Sunday School begins at 9:15am. We usually have 15 minutes of fellowship and encourage students during that time to share their prayer requests on the board. We pray with and for each other at 9:30am and have a lesson from 9:45 until 10:15a when we head over to the church for the 10:30 worship service. This is a time where we dive deeper into God’s word and its relevance on our lives.
Youth Retreats & Missions
We have an annual Fall Retreat with the purpose of getting out of the city and (re)connecting with our Triune God through prayer and focused biblical meditation. Watch our video below to get a sense, we hope you’ll join us next Fall!
